Key Responsibilities
Provide direct resident care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and use of mobility equipment while following safe lifting practices.
Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident requests with kindness and professionalism.
Obtain and accurately document vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other assigned observations.
Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition and promptly report concerns to the licensed nurse.
Assist with meal service, feeding, hydration, and monitoring nutritional intake as directed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Follow individualized care plans while respecting each resident's privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Adhere to all infection prevention, safety, confidentiality, and facility policies and procedures.
Attend required training, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support quality resident care.
Requirements
Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
Previous experience in patient care or healthcare settings is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to quality care.
Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
