Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct resident care and support services that promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the CNA assists residents with daily activities and delivers compassionate care in accordance with individualized care plans, facility policies, and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, and mobility.
  • Observe residents and promptly report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Support residents' independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
  • Assist with transferring, positioning, and transporting residents as needed.
  • Document care and services provided according to facility procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and license in accordance with state regulations.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, resident-centered care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to serving our Veteran population with respect, dignity, and professionalism.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting.
