If you're a CNA who is tired of feeling like just another pair of hands, this is your chance to be part of a close-knit Cardiology team where your observations, relationships, and compassionate care truly matter. Join PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and help care for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments while building meaningful connections that make every shift count.

Why PeaceHealth. Why Cardiology. Why Now.

Not every CNA role gives you the opportunity to build relationships with patients, work alongside a collaborative cardiac team, and make a visible impact on recovery. This one does.

What's in it for you?

  • Be part of a specialized Cardiology unit where you care for patients recovering from cardiac events, procedures, and treatments, allowing you to build valuable acute care experience.
  • Work with a team that knows your name and values your voice. Your observations and patient interactions help shape care decisions every day.
  • Spend more time where you want to be: with patients. You'll play a hands-on role helping people regain confidence, mobility, and independence.
  • Grow your healthcare career. Cardiology offers exposure to complex patient care, strong interdisciplinary teamwork, and opportunities to expand your clinical knowledge.
  • Join a mission-driven healthcare system that invests in caregiver wellbeing, professional development, and a culture of compassion.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll help create a safe, comfortable, and healing experience for patients while working closely with nurses and the broader care team.

Your day may include:

  • Supporting patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meals.
  • Helping patients walk, reposition, transfer safely, and stay as active as possible during recovery.
  • Taking and documenting vital signs and reporting changes or concerns to the nursing team.
  • Monitoring intake and output.
  • Assisting with treatments and basic patient care activities as directed by the RN.
  • Providing comfort, reassurance, and compassionate support to patients and families.
  • Keeping patient rooms stocked and organized.
  • Documenting patient information accurately and promptly.
  • Answering call lights and responding to patient needs with urgency and kindness.
  • Assisting with basic unit support tasks, including phones, chart processing, and order entry as needed.

What We're Looking For

We are specifically seeking experienced CNAs who are confident working in a patient care environment and ready to contribute from day one.

Required

  • Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a CNA in a hospital or skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
