Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Active CNA Certification
6 months–1 year of recent CNA experience (1–2 years preferred)
Basic computer and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
Required Certifications:
Active CNA Certification
BLS/CPR (preferred or required by facility)
Preferred Experience:
Hospital, Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation, or Home Health experience
Familiarity with EMR systems and infection control practices
Responsibilities:
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility (ADLs)
Take and record vital signs
Transfer and reposition patients safely
Observe and report changes in patient condition
Document care in the EMR
Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
Assist nurses with basic patient care and specimen collection
The CNA provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN by assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring their condition, and ensuring comfort and safety.
