Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

As a CNA, you will play an essential role in helping residents maintain their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

•Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility.

•Obtain and record vital signs.

•Collect routine specimens as directed.

•Perform restorative nursing activities to promote resident independence.

•Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.

•Answer resident call lights promptly and provide compassionate assistance.

•Complete routine safety, drying, and comfort rounds.

•Accurately record resident intake and output.

•Observe, document, and promptly report changes in resident condition, safety concerns, or potential hazards.

•Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of resident care.

•Provide courteous assistance to residents, families, and visitors while supporting a positive team environment.

•Assist with maintaining clean, safe, and organized resident rooms and nursing units.

Qualifications

•Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

•Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required.

•Current CPR certification preferred.

•Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
