Position Responsibilities Summary:Caregiver/Home Care Aide is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client's needs. The Caregiver will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a client's care. This position will not perform any medical or skilled services. Services provided will be non-medical.Qualifications:1. High school diploma or GED3. Certified CPR and current physical or T.B./PPD test4. Minimum one (1) year of documented experience 5. Licensed driver with reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with the organization's requirements6. Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality7. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectivelyPersonal Protective Equipment:May include gloves, mask, eye/face protection, and disposable outer covering or lab coat.Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required.Environment:Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care provided in client's living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.
