Job Summary


Adventist Home Health and Hospice is seeking a PRN Home Health Aide to join our Austin team. This is a per-visit position, giving you control over which visits you take while still doing meaningful, one-on-one work in patients' homes. You will follow individualized care plans, providing hands-on personal care and building genuine relationships with the patients you serve. You are detail oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a safe, healthy environment. Prior home health or hospice experience is a plus.


Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, bathing, and transferring to wheelchairs or vehicles
• Provide personal care, change bed linens, do light laundry, and help maintain a clean home environment
• Maintain accurate records of patient care, condition, progress, or concerns and report observations to your supervisor
• Build relationships with patients through conversation, reading aloud, or light activities to support mental engagement and wellbeing
• Assist patients with light exercises or activities as outlined in the care plan
• Accept PRN visits based on your own availability

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program
• High school diploma or GED
• One year of prior professional caregiving experience preferred
• Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
• CPR certification required
