The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides hands-on, compassionate care to patients/residents under the direction of licensed nursing staff. The CNA assists with daily living activities, monitors patient needs, maintains a safe environment, and reports changes in condition to the nursing team.
Job Responsibilities
Provide direct patient/resident care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
Help patients with feeding, hydration, and meal assistance as needed.
Measure and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using appropriate safety techniques.
Maintain clean, comfortable, and safe patient rooms and care areas.
Observe patients for changes in condition and promptly report concerns or abnormalities to the nurse.
Assist with admissions, discharges, transportation, and other patient-care activities as directed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
Follow infection-control, safety, HIPAA, and facility policies.
Provide emotional support and respectful care while maintaining patient dignity and privacy.
Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
