Salary Range: 18.92 - 23.62
Pay rates are determined based on experience and internal equity.
Position Summary
- Get height and weight on every patient then take to exam room.
- Take blood pressure for patient when come in for blood pressure check then document into EHR.
- Checking each patient for allergy to latex- if so ensure patient is roomed in decreased latex environment room.
- Patients are to be roomed in order of appointments or as per Provider Guidelines.
- Verify patient name and provider they are seeing before rooming.
- Answer phones.
- Assist nursing staff as appropriate.
- Answer patient questions.
- Take messages for MD from patients and return calls with answers from MD.
- Clean/Disinfect exam rooms after patient use.
- Manage incoming faxes.

Position Duties/Responsibility
- Demonstrates proficiency in the care of patients in the after the appropriate orientation to the area.
- Maintains ability to perform competencies as listed above.
- Demonstrates the knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Documents patient care through appropriate charting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Distribute faxes to assigned providers.
- Assign/print out incoming faxes.
- Assist with medical records.
Essential Functions
- The ability to verbally and in writing communicate with physician, patients and co-workers.
- The ability to maintain a Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
- The ability to be supervised.
- The ability to work as a Team.
- The ability to have positive personal interactions with coworkers, patients, families and others.
Position Qualifications
Education
- High School graduate or GED preferred.
Experience
- At least 6 months to 1 year of patient care experience.
Certifications
- Have a current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification and Current CPR certification required from the American Heart Association.
Skills
- Be able to communicate effectively with patients to the degree the patients ability allows.
- Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate patients condition to other staff.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
