Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long Term Care (Local)
Location: Far Rockaway, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Shift: Variable – 5x8 Day Shifts
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $23–$25/hour ($862 – $937/week) – based on experience
Radius Rule: Candidates must reside within a 20-mile radius of the facility.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries
- Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations)
- Assist with feeding, hydration, and monitor dietary intake
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff
- Maintain infection control standards, including proper PPE use and hand hygiene
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
- Provide compassionate and respectful patient care at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) required
- Active New York CNA License required
- BLS Certification required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
