Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents in a long-term care facility. The CNA works under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to ensure residents receive compassionate, safe, and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output as directed.
Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Observe and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
Ensure residents' rooms are clean, safe, and organized.
Assist with meal setup and feeding assistance when necessary.
Promote resident comfort, dignity, and independence.
Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
