6:00am-6:30pm (12-hour shifts), working every other weekend. 30 hours per week. (40 hours may be available but is not promised)
Assist individuals with transfers, ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
Follow instructions to use simple procedures and devices to strengthen limbs and maintain flexibility.
Assist nursing staff with basic medical procedures such as suppositories, enemas, treatments, post-surgical care, and post-mortem care.
Monitor physical and mental status by utilizing appropriate medical equipment and techniques to take vital signs, obtain samples, and track input/output.
Responsible for medical record and worksheet documentation. Maintain records and prepare simple reports.
Assist with dining, including transporting to the dining room, informing about menu choices, communicating with dining staff, and serving meals.
Maintain cleanliness by changing bedding, linens, and other items.
Report to and assist licensed nurses in emergency situations rapidly and appropriately, following established policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties such as transporting to appointments outside the facility and clerical duties (e.g., answering phones, filing).
Actively involved in processes such as Huddle Boards, Problem Solving, Job Breakdown Sheets, Success Tracking, and Standardized Work.
Participate fully in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of:
Principles, practices, and techniques of para-professional nursing care, treatment, and services.
State and agency laws and regulations governing para-professional nursing practices.
Practices and procedures of using medical equipment in assigned duties.
Practices and techniques for maintaining a safe, orderly, therapeutic, and hygienic environment.
Skills in:
Applying methods and techniques of para-professional nursing practices.
Using and maintaining medical equipment.
Recording, maintaining, filing, and retrieving medical records.

Ability to:

Education
Active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
