Job Schedule
6:00am-6:30pm (12-hour shifts), working every other weekend, 30 hours per week. (40 hours may be available but is not promised)
- Assist individuals with transfers, ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, and other ADLs.
- Follow instructions to use simple procedures and devices to strengthen limbs and maintain flexibility.
- Assist nursing staff with simple medical procedures such as suppositories, enemas, treatments, post-surgical care, and post-mortem care.
- Monitor physical and mental status by utilizing appropriate medical equipment and techniques to take vital signs, obtain samples, and track input/output.
- Responsible for medical record and worksheet documentation for all assigned individuals. Keep records and prepare simple reports.
- Assist with dining, including transporting to the dining room, informing about menu choices, communicating with dining staff, and serving meals. Provide care and comfort by responding to requests timely in accordance with the Resident Bill of Rights.
- Maintain cleanliness of areas by changing bedding, linens, and other items.
- Report to and assist licensed nurses in emergency situations rapidly and appropriately following established policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties such as transporting individuals to appointments outside the facility and clerical duties as needed.
- Actively involved in processes such as Huddle Boards, Problem Solving, Job Breakdown Sheets, Success Tracking, and Standardized Work.
- Participate fully in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program.

- Principles, practices, and techniques of para-professional nursing care, treatment, and services appropriate to the work setting.
- State and agency laws and regulations governing para-professional nursing practices.

Education
Active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required.
