Nursing Assistant – VA Medical CenterLocation: Sheridan, WyomingWork Location: On-site, Sheridan VA Medical Center, 1898 Fort Road, Sheridan, WY 82801Schedule: Full-time; may include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Cetechs is seeking Nursing Assistants to provide direct patient-care support to Veterans at the Sheridan VA Medical Center.

The Nursing Assistant will work alongside registered nurses and other clinical personnel to support safe, compassionate and effective inpatient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient-care assistance under appropriate clinical supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and routine care.
• Support nursing personnel in delivering assigned patient care.
• Observe patients and communicate changes or concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist with patient mobility, positioning, transport and safety.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow VA policies, clinical procedures and standards of conduct.
• Complete required documentation and training.
• Maintain CPR and BLS certification throughout the assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Current CPR certification through an American Heart Association vendor.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum 6 months of direct patient-care experience within the previous 3 years.
• Resume demonstrating education and professional qualifications appropriate to the position.
• Ability to meet VA health, immunization, background and training requirements.
• VA healthcare experience preferred
