Certified Nursing Assistant | Urgent Hire

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support to patients and nursing staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This urgent hire role involves assisting with daily patient care activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Take and record vital signs accurately
• Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks and patient care
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient rooms and common areas
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to supervising nurse
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Document care and services provided thoroughly

Requirements:

• Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Applicants with out-of-state certifications must first obtain California certification before applying.
• Valid CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association). Candidates may be hired before obtaining it but must secure the certification within two weeks of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT-1) certification is required only for positions that include phlebotomy duties
• Previous experience providing direct patient care in an acute care hospital, rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or psychiatric setting.
