Certified Nursing Assistant Van Driver (Part-Time/Full-Time)

Bernice Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Van Driver. (Part-Time/Full-Time)

General Description

Under the direction of the Executive Director the Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting clients to planned activities and medical service providers.

Essential Duties

1. Provides a safe, clean environment for residents in accordance with Resident Care

Policies and Procedures.

2. Drives company-owned vehicles in order to transport residents to appointments or

activities.

3. Tests vehicle equipment such as lights, brakes, horns, and windshield wipers in

order to verify proper, legal operation.

4. Notifies the Executive Director of any necessary repairs or mechanical problems

in a timely manner.

5. Picks up residents at prearranged locations and transports to specific destinations.

6. Verifies that the Facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident

comfort and convenience.

7. Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive

emphasis as well as a calm environment for the residents during transport.

8. Completes and maintains accurate accident and incident reports in a professional

and timely manner.

Requirements:

Certified Nursing Assistant certification required

At least 18 years old

Valid Drivers License

High school diploma/GED
