Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: York ME 03909
Duration: 13-weeks
Work Schedule: 36 hour per week, night shift, 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, 3 -12 hours shifts per week
Pay rate: $35-$40/hr.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:- Provide direct patient care in the Medical-Surgical Care Department.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report abnormal findings to the nursing staff.
- Perform EKGs and blood glucose testing using a glucometer.
- Assist with splinting and other basic patient-care procedures as directed.
- Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.
- Work required weekend rotations and variable shifts when needed.
To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification/licensure in the State of Maine.
- Previous experience in a medical-surgical or acute-care setting preferred.
- Proficiency in EKG, vital signs, splinting, and glucometer testing.
- Demonstrated phlebotomy skills.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work 36 hours per week on the night shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts.
- Availability for required weekend rotations and variable shifts as needed.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
