Job Title: Certified OB Tech
Location: Portland, OR 97225
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Job Overview
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Certified OB Tech to support Labor & Delivery operations. The ideal candidate will assist clinical staff in maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient environment while ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain sterile field using proper aseptic techniques
- Assist in Labor & Delivery procedures and patient care
- Ensure accurate equipment documentation
- Follow isolation precautions and proper use of PPE
- Adhere to sharps safety protocols
- Handle and label specimens correctly
- Follow Universal Protocol (Time-Out) procedures
- Support nursing and clinical teams as needed
Work Environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques
- Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols
- Attention to detail in documentation and specimen handling
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
