Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified OB Tech for a 13-week travel assignment within Surgical Services. This role supports Labor & Delivery and obstetrical surgical procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong OB surgical support experience, excellent sterile technique knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing and surgical teams during obstetrical procedures and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during obstetrical surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields for cesarean sections and OB procedures
- Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to procedures
- Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport as needed
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and handling of surgical instruments
- Monitor and restock surgical and procedural supplies
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Support Labor & Delivery workflow and emergency OB procedures
- Document procedures and maintain accurate departmental records
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary surgical and maternal care teams
Required Qualifications
- Certified OB Tech certification required
- Prior Surgical Services and OB Tech experience required
- Strong sterile technique and surgical instrumentation knowledge required
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity OB environments required
- Experience supporting cesarean sections and labor procedures preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required
