Qualifications: - Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Assistant required
- One (1) year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
Role Overview:
As a COTA, you will help patients develop fine motor skills, adapt to physical or cognitive challenges, or access appropriate educational tools and techniques under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Key Responsibilities:?
Assist in the assessment of patients' needs and abilities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Implement individualized therapy plans to improve patients' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and coordination
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to patients' unique needs.
Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
