CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (COTA) FT

JOB OVERVIEW
Seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team in providing restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services. Working under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will help patients maximize independence, safety, functional performance, and quality of life through individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.

Pay Rate: $79,040 - $106,080 annually

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer occupational therapy treatment programs established by the Occupational Therapist
Assist with collection of clinical data, including range of motion, strength testing, and functional assessments
Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patient independence and safety
Coordinate with rehabilitation team members to support participant goals and care plans
Schedule treatments, clinical visits, and therapy-related activities as needed
Document therapy interventions and patient progress in accordance with clinical and regulatory requirements
Utilize therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques to enhance cognitive, perceptual, motor, balance, endurance, and functional abilities
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional mobility goals
Communicate patient status updates and treatment progress to the clinical care team

REQUIREMENTS

Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Active Occupational Therapy Assistant License or eligibility for licensure in the applicable state
Knowledge and experience providing therapy services to adult and geriatric populations
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Ability to effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

1-2 years of Occupational Therapy Assistant experience
Experience in outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings
Experience treating medically complex adult and geriatric patients
Familiarity with interdisciplinary care models and long-term patient management
