Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing outpatient pediatric therapy clinic as a 1099 independent contractor. The Pediatric COTA will provide treatment services to children with a variety of communication disorders, including fine motor, gross motor, self-care, autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. Services are provided in a fun, family-centered outpatient setting while collaborating with speech therapists, physical therapists, and caregivers to support each child’s progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Implement treatment plans designed to improve fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, coordination, and functional skills.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and submit documentation in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with families and the interdisciplinary therapy team to achieve the best outcomes for each child.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with Texas licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Pediatric experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
