That means you work directly for our facility, collaborating closely with a dedicated interdisciplinary team that prioritizes patient outcomes over corporate quotas. What You’ll Be Doing:
As our full-time COTA, you will be hands-on in helping our residents regain their independence and confidently transition back to their daily lives.
- Treat & Empower: Carry out highly individualized care plans established by the evaluating OT, focusing on restoring function in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
- Innovate: Utilize evidence-based practices for cognitive rehabilitation, vision therapy, and adaptive equipment training to maximize patient autonomy.
- Collaborate: Work hand-in-hand with our OTs, PTAs, SLPs, and nursing staff to ensure a seamless, patient-centered approach to rehab.
- Educate: Empower patients, families, and facility staff with strategies to support long-term recovery and safe transitions.
- Document: Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Licensure: Active (or pending) state OTA license in Iowa.
- Certification: NBCOT certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a SNF or adult rehab setting is a plus, but a collaborative mindset and passion for patient care are what matter most.
- Skills: Strong clinical execution, empathy, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
