Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

# Job Description

## Our Team Provides individual and small group occupational therapy services and collaborates with parents and teachers, engaging them as partners in the students therapeutic intervention.

## Responsibilities

• Generate, maintain, track, and update all required student records, including but not limited to:

• Evaluation reports

• IEP goals and objectives

• IEP progress notes, etc.

• Provide occupational therapy services to students by direct or consultation to address:

• Range of motion

• Sensory strategies and techniques

• Fine and gross motor activities as related to IEP goals

• Under the supervision of an OTR

• Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes.

• Consult and collaborate with teachers and teams by suggesting ideas for classroom interventions.

• Train other staff as needed.

• Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Director of Special Education may from time to time assign or delegate.

## Qualifications

• Hold appropriate license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an approved and accredited program.
• Minimum of one year experience with a background in pediatrics, public school setting, assistive technology, or sensory integration is desirable.
