Exceptional Pediatric Therapy LLC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in Houston, TX! In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside experienced therapists to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families every single day.
Responsibilities:
Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
Provide direct therapy services to pediatric patients targeting fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment notes and goal tracking in a timely manner
Collaborate with OTs, parents, caregivers, and school personnel to support each child's development
Utilize evidence-based, play-based therapeutic techniques to engage pediatric clients
Participate in team meetings, family education sessions, and interdisciplinary care planning
Maintain a safe, organized, and child-friendly therapy environment
Requirements:
Active COTA licensure in the state of Texas (required)
Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current NBCOT certification in good standing
Experience or strong interest in pediatric occupational therapy
Knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and ADL training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and families
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a child-centered approach
