Blossom Care Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated clinician looking for flexible scheduling while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Working under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you'll help residents regain independence and improve their ability to perform everyday activities in a supportive skilled nursing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments according to the established plan of care.
- Assist residents in improving functional independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, strength, coordination, and safety awareness.
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Accurately document treatment sessions using Net Health.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, residents, and families to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program.
- Current Ohio COTA license in good standing.
- Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
