Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a per diem basis. This role offers flexible, as-needed scheduling and is ideal for a motivated clinician who enjoys working independently while providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs)
Instruct patients in therapeutic activities to enhance strength, coordination, and independence
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates or concerns to the Occupational Therapist
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Ensure a safe and supportive therapy environment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current Texas COTA license (or eligibility)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively under supervision and independently
Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred
Employment Type
Per Diem: Flexible, as-needed scheduling
The starting hourly rate is $38.00 with adjustments made in accordance with the candidate’s experience level
