Job Description
Momentum Physical Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing hand therapy team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced hand therapists in a collaborative outpatient setting while helping patients regain function and return to the activities they love.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans for patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity conditions.
- Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises, functional activities, splint care, and home exercise programs.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
- Foster a positive, patient-centered experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
- Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required.
- Hand therapy or orthopedic outpatient experience preferred.
- Interest in upper extremity rehabilitation and hand therapy.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and continued professional growth.
