    Role Description The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will support licensed occupational therapists in delivering pediatric therapy services in an on-site setting located in San Antonio, TX. This full-time role includes implementing treatment plans, guiding children through therapeutic activities, and monitoring progress toward functional and developmental goals. The COTA will help prepare and organize therapy sessions, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate observations to supervising therapists and caregivers. Daily responsibilities also involve collaborating with families, contributing to a positive clinic environment, and assisting in the adaptation of activities and equipment to meet each child’s needs.

    • Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation within pediatric settings.
    • \n
    • Candidates should possess skills in Patient Care, including compassionate interaction, safety awareness, and individualized support.
    • \n
    • Candidates should possess abilities in Program Development, such as assisting in planning and adjusting treatment activities.
    • \n
    • Candidates should possess experience in outpatient pediatrics, including caregiver education and strategies for carryover of skills at home.
    • \n
    • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and licensure or eligibility for licensure in Texas.
    • \n
    • Experience working with children in clinical, school, or community-based settings is highly beneficial.
    • \n
    • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills, with the ability to follow OT treatment plans and clinical guidelines.
    • \n
    • Commitment to inclusive, family-centered care and ongoing professional development in pediatric occupational therapy.
