Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Skilled Nursing Facility

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an immediate travel assignment in Lynchburg, Tennessee. This role is based in a Skilled Nursing Facility where the COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to residents.
The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric rehabilitation and a strong commitment to improving patients’ independence, mobility, and quality of life.
Responsibilities
Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Provide direct therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing setting
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing, bathing, grooming, and mobility
Document patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Support therapeutic exercises and functional activity programs
Monitor patient response to therapy and ensure safe treatment practices
Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including nurses, therapists, and physicians
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Previous SNF or rehabilitation experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow treatment plans under OT supervision
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Strong documentation and organizational skills
