    Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehab is seeking a FT Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities.

    Your expertise in patient care and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology will be essential in developing effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs.

    W-2 and 1099 candidates are both accepted.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.

    • Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities designed to enhance functional abilities.

    • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

    • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and strategies for improving daily living skills.

    • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

    • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

    Requirements

    • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

    • Experience in home health, inpatient settings, clinics, or pediatric therapy is preferred.

    • Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health practices.

    • Ability to develop and implement effective care plans based on patient assessments.

    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

    • Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.

    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

    • W-2 or 1099 employment options available.
