Description

Responsible for managing certified payroll compliance and full-cycle accounts payable functions within a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Supported financial operations across multiple construction and engineering projects, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely payment processing.

Key Responsibilities:

Managed certified payroll processes in compliance with federal and state labor laws, including Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements

Prepared and submitted weekly certified payroll reports (WH-347) and maintained audit-ready documentation

Verified subcontractor payroll submissions to ensure compliance with contract and regulatory standards

Processed high-volume accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, coding, and 3-way matching (PO, invoice, receipt)

Coordinated vendor payments via check, ACH, and wire; resolved discrepancies and maintained strong vendor relationships

Maintained accurate general ledger coding and assisted with month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations

Supported job cost accounting, ensuring labor and expenses were properly allocated to projects

Collaborated cross-functionally with HR, project managers, and field teams to validate timekeeping and project costs

Assisted with 1099 preparation and vendor compliance documentation (W-9s, insurance, etc.)
