*Immediate Opening for male and female Certified Peer Recovery Specialists to oversee a ASAM 3.1 Low Intensity Residential Program in the Henrico, Virginia area.


About the Role:
Mental Health Pros by VABODE is looking for a compassionate and driven Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA. In this meaningful role, you'll use your own lived experience to inspire and support individuals on their recovery journey. Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals navigating mental health and/or substance use recovery
  • Assist clients in developing personalized recovery plans and setting achievable wellness goals
  • Connect clients with community resources, support groups, and social services
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare and social service systems
  • Document client interactions, progress notes, and service activities in accordance with agency standards
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups and peer support sessions
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care
Requirements:
  • Active Virginia Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification required
  • Personal lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
  • Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and trauma-informed practices
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing empathetic peer support
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication purposes
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
