Desired candidates provide recovery-oriented services to individuals receiving Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services, and Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) services. Utilizing lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery, the CPSS delivers highly individualized support services that promote self-determination, empowerment, resilience, and recovery.
The CPSS assists individuals in identifying personal strengths, developing recovery goals, and navigating community resources while fostering hope and wellness. As a valued member of the treatment team, the Peer Support Specialist provides expertise from a lived-experience perspective to promote person-centered care and ensure that everyone’s preferences, choices, and recovery goals are respected and integrated into all aspects of treatment and service delivery.
The CPSS serves as a role model of recovery, advocates for the individuals supported, and helps create meaningful opportunities for community integration, personal growth, and sustained recovery.
Pay: $16 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday ,40-hour work week, flexible schedule with no on call hours
