Certified Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team in retail pharmacy and long-term care facility settings. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists to ensure the safe and effective administration of medications, with direct patient interaction. This position requires strong knowledge of acute care, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology, combined with proficiency in specialized pharmacy management software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications accurately following prescriptions and protocols
• Manage pharmacy inventory and control stock levels
• Process prescriptions efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Engage directly with patients to provide assistance and information
• Enter data and maintain electronic patient and medication records
• Assist with billing and regulatory compliance activities
• Ensure adherence to pharmacy policies and safety standards
• Support pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
• At least 1 year of experience in pharmacy operations
• Proficiency in medication dispensing and pharmacy software
• Strong skills in inventory control and customer service
• High attention to detail and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
