Certified Pharmacy Technician – RemoteDepartment of Veterans Affairs – Meds by Mail Program Position SummaryEuola is seeking Certified Pharmacy Technicians to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Meds by Mail (MbM) pharmacy program.In this remote position, Pharmacy Technicians will support prescription processing, prescription data entry, pharmacy call center activities, patient communications, and related pharmacy administrative functions.Work will be performed remotely using Government-furnished equipment and secure VA connectivity.Location RequirementAlthough this position is remote, applicants must live within 50 miles of one of the following locations:Cheyenne, WYDublin, GAChelmsford, MAHines, ILLancaster, TXLadson, SCShawnee, KSMurfreesboro, TNTucson, AZEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Certified Pharmacy Technician will:Process prescription orders and perform prescription data entryReview and process external prescriptionsProvide pharmacy-related call center triagePerform pharmacy clerical and administrative functionsCommunicate therapeutic change requests to provider officesCommunicate with patients and caregivers regarding medication use within the Pharmacy Technician's authorized scopeAccurately enter and maintain information in pharmacy information systemsFollow VA policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Protect patient information and comply with HIPAA, privacy, and information-security requirementsComplete required VA orientation, training, and competency assessmentsMaintain all required certifications and credentialsPerform all duties within the scope of Pharmacy Technician certification and applicable lawAll prescription entries are verified by a supervising VA pharmacist. Pharmacy Technicians do not make independent clinical decisions.Minimum QualificationsRequired:Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification OR National Healthcareer Association (NHA) pharmacy technician certificationHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read, understand, speak, and write English fluentlyStrong computer and data-entry skillsAbility to navigate pharmacy information systems and accurately complete electronic documentationAbility to successfully complete required VA credentialing and onboardingAbility to successfully complete required background investigationAbility to meet the geographic residency requirement
