We are seeking a PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician who is also registered with the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy to join a fast-paced veterinary pharmacy operation in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. This position offers the opportunity to work in a professional, closed-door pharmacy environment dedicated to supporting animal health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely.

Pharmacy Operations

* Enter prescriptions into the pharmacy dispensing system
* Process new prescriptions and refill requests
* Retrieve, label, and prepare medications for dispensing
* Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and workflow management
* Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
* Support prescription file management and documentation requirements

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

* Pick, stage, tote, and prepare prescription orders for shipment
* Utilize RF scanners and warehouse technology to fulfill orders
* Verify transportation methods and properly sort orders
* Prepare orders for pharmacist verification
* Coordinate delivery of completed orders to packing and shipping teams

Inventory Management

* Organize and restock medications and pharmacy supplies
* Monitor inventory levels and support efficient product retrieval
* Collaborate with inventory teams to maintain workflow efficiency
* Assist with product shortage resolution and inventory control initiatives

Customer Support

* Communicate professionally with customers and veterinary offices
* Transfer calls appropriately and support pharmacy communications
* Refer clinical questions to licensed pharmacists
* Assist with information gathering for pharmacist consultations

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

* Help balance workflow across pharmacy technicians
* Support onboarding and training of new team members
* Assist with implementing process improvements
* Monitor production demands and prioritize daily work activities

Required Qualifications
Education & Certification

* High School Diploma or GED required
* Active Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure required
* Current PTCB Certification required
* Ability to maintain all required pharmacy credentials and certifications

Experience

* Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
* Experience with prescription processing and pharmacy operations
* Experience in fulfillment, distribution, or warehouse-supported pharmacy environments is a plus

Technical Skills

* Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
* Ability to navigate pharmacy dispensing and order management systems
* Strong data entry accuracy and computer skills
