We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) for a temporary contract assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, performing related laboratory procedures, and providing excellent patient care while maintaining compliance with established clinical and safety standards.
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures for patients of all ages.
Accurately identify patients and label specimens according to established protocols.
Prepare, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing.
Maintain proper documentation and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
Provide compassionate and professional patient care during specimen collection procedures.
Assist with laboratory support functions and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and clinical staff.
Handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Minimum 1 2 years of experience as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician in a clinical or laboratory setting.
Proficiency in medical terminology.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working with pediatric patients.
Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Current State Phlebotomy Certification/Licensure (where applicable).
Current CPR Certification.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Full-time, Monday through Friday
