Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting a floor lead Phlebotomist to support the Long Beach VA Health Care System located at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the facility on a range of shift schedules. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Responsibilities

  • Performs proper specimen collection and labeling procedures used for routine and special procedures
  • Ensure proper patient identification, specimen labeling, specimen handling, and transportation in accordance with laboratory protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, quality assurance, and laboratory regulatory standards.
  • Support employee onboarding, training, and mentoring of all new Ansible employees.
  • Escalate staffing concerns, employee relations issues, complaints, and operational challenges to the Ansible Operations Manager.
  • Facilitate communication between site employees, client representatives, and Ansible leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service.
  • Help track and report attendance, tardiness, and other workforce concerns.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited program required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification preferred. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of phlebotomy experience. 
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Positive mentality with the ability to be flexible and assist as needed. 
  • Previous phlebotomy lead or supervisory experience required
  • No sponsorship available

Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 hourly

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
