Position Summary
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive growth of preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment.
- Foster children's social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and engagement strategies.
- Observe, assess, and document student progress and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance the educational experience.
- Maintain compliance with school policies and applicable childcare regulations.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in young children.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children or in a daycare setting is required.
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Experience with lesson planning and curriculum implementation.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with child welfare practices and early intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Education Requirements
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education
