JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care across a variety of surgical, procedural, and clinical settings. The CRNA assesses patients preoperatively, participates in the development and implementation of anesthesia plans, administers anesthetics, monitors patients throughout procedures, and manages post-anesthesia recovery.

The CRNA practices within the scope defined by state law and the organization's care model, collaborating with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):

EDUCATION
• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

EXPERIENCE
• Experience in hospital, ambulatory surgery, obstetric, trauma, or specialty anesthesia settings
• Proficiency with regional anesthesia and advanced airway techniques
• Experience participating in quality improvement or leadership initiatives

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a stressful situation
• Certification in CPR and annual re-certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Knowledge of Patient Centered Medical Home, with MIPS, HEDIS requirements preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Work is demanding and stressful at times
• Visual and auditory acuity are essential
• Works indoors in a well-lit, well-ventilated area
• May be exposed to communicable diseases
• On-call coverage
