ROLE DESCRIPTION: Full Time Role

This is a full-time role for a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) with a top tier team located in East Chicago, IN. The CRNA will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients through preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Responsibilities include collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement anesthesia care plans.

COMPENSATION:
Signing Bonus = $20,000
Total Compensation = over $300k plus incentive plan
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Performs pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation in conjunction with anesthesiologist
- Communicates accurate information about anesthesia care to patient
- Applies basic non verbal communication skills to identify and reduce anxiety in patient.
- Post anesthesia evaluation and follow up as deemed by Medical Director of Anesthesiology.
- Practice safe work habits follows infection control procedures
- Completes assignments promptly and accurately by agreed deadline
- Initiates actions to assist in department goals when volume increases/ decreases
- Adapts to changing environment, job assignments, priorities, and schedules.
- Maintains positive attitude
- Respects privacy of patients, guests, and coworkers
- Takes measures to safeguard confidential information
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Valid state licensure as required to practice in Indiana
- Strong competencies in Anesthesiology and administering General Anesthesia
- Experience in surgical assistance and knowledge of Surgery-related protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
- CPR and ACLS certifications required consistent with hospital policy
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrates ability to be empathetic and good listener in interaction with others
- Performs at high standards with regard to regulatory compliance
