    Job Description

    SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for the set-up and operation of various types of Respiratory Therapy equipment to be utilized in patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards and polices. Required to work with the Clinic Manager regularly to carry out, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Pulmonology Clinic. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or GED, Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program. Experience: Pulmonary Function Testing experience of at minimum 1 year. License/Certification:Current Arkansas Respiratory License in good standing. Certified by the NBRC or eligible by being a graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program. BLS required. Preferred Education: Associates Degree, ACLS certification, ACCS certification, PALS, NRP Primary Source Verification: Original Transcripts Safety Sensitive Designation: This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following:must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Must have the ability to move about freely and stand and walk for extended periods of time, respond quickly to emergencies, occasionally bend, squat, and twist, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and push and/or pull rolling equipment up to 400 pounds using proper body mechanics. Will spend eight hours or more in front of a computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing a keyboard and/or mouse. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Work Environment Clinic Setting Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a position in a clinical setting where office staff work 5 days a week, Monday Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-12pm. Work during inclement weather may be required.
