Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs respiratory care procedures in the acute and critical care areas of the facility. Also responsible for point of care P.O.C. testing arterial punctures blood gas analysis and quality control QC on the blood gas equipment.

Graduate from an Accredited Respiratory Program

Licenses Registrations andor Certifications

Current Respiratory Care Practitioner RCP license with the state of Texas. Active CRT credentials by the National Board of Respiratory Care NBRC Current Basic Life Support BLS upon hire from an HCA approved vendor. Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS required within 90 days from an HCA approved vendor. Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS required within 120 days of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP required within 120 days of hire if working in NICU.
