North Plainfield School District

The North Plainfield School District is seeking a caring, student-centered School Nurse to support the health, safety, and well-being of our diverse student population. North Plainfield serves approximately 3,500 students in grades PreK12 and is committed to providing an inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for student injuries, illnesses, and chronic health conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district procedures.
  • Develop and monitor individualized healthcare plans and emergency medical plans.
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Support students experiencing physical, emotional, or mental health concerns.
  • Communicate with families, healthcare providers, and school staff regarding student health needs.
  • Promote student wellness through health education and prevention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with administrators, counselors, and support staff to ensure student success.

Qualifications

  • Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
  • New Jersey School Nurse Certificate preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification required.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation and benefits are provided in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Salary: $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
