Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain sterile field during surgical procedures
  • Anticipate surgeon’s needs and pass instruments and supplies efficiently
  • Perform surgical counts (sponges, needles, instruments) per policy
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and care of specimens
  • Assist with room turnover and case setup
  • Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and supplies
  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) 
  • Minimum of 1 year of surgical scrub experience 
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Schedule:

  • PRN/as needed based on surgical volume
  • Must be flexible with availability
