Job Title: Certified Sterile Processor
Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: To Be Determined (Facility Requirement)
Prepare, clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Ensure proper assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instrument trays according to facility protocols.
Monitor sterilization processes including temperature gauges and sterilization indicators.
Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization records and equipment logs.
Distribute sterile instruments and supplies to healthcare teams in a timely manner.
Follow infection control policies and sterile processing standards.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage before sterilization.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sterile processing department.
High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Completion of an appropriate Aide training program OR Central Technician program OR minimum 6 months of previous experience in Central Supply / Sterile Processing.
Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic, and interpret temperature gauges.
NICHSPDP Certification (National Institute for the Certification of Healthcare Sterile Processing and Distribution Personnel) Required.
Previous experience working in a hospital sterile processing department.
Familiarity with sterilization equipment, surgical instruments, and infection control standards.
