Certified Substance Abuse Counselor

Must be registered or Certified with CCAPP or CAADE

The Case Manager is responsible for the delivery of various therapeutic services at Cornerstone which provides optimal quality care and consistency to both the client and the course of their recovery. The therapeutic services to apply to all programs, i.e. residential, outpatient, Alternative Sentencing, etc.

• 3 Years Experience
• Screens and evaluates prospective clients to Cornerstone prior to admission, employing intervention techniques, interviewing and assessment skills.
• Provides appropriate referral options when indicated.
• Initiates personal contact with newly admitted clients providing support and orientation to the program philosophy.
• Conducts the Psychosocial Assessment, assessing the client's needs and identifying presenting problems. Summarizes findings in the written, integrated assessment. Demonstrates ability to develop Integrated Summaries relative to the clinical and psychiatric antecedents of the dependency process.
• Experience in Utilization Review.
• Utilizes clinical skills to facilitate group process and individual/family sessions.
• Documents, on a daily basis, the client's progress and participation.
• Conducts all care in a professional and therapeutic manner, placing the client's dignity and rights above personality differences.
