About the Role:Join ALIGN INTEGRATED CARE PLLC as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in Sandston, VA! We are looking for compassionate professionals to help individuals on their journey to recovery, providing support and guidance in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients dealing with substance abuse issues.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Case management assessments, activities, progress.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need.
- Facilitate educational workshops and support groups for clients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Stay updated on best practices and trends in substance abuse treatment.
Requirements:- Valid certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC or equivalent).
- Experience in counseling individuals with substance use disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor towards clients.
- Documentation of assessments, treatment plans, individual notes, group notes, case management activities, and discharge summaries
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding substance abuse treatment.
- Willingness to supervise and mentor new counselors.
