As a Certified Surgical First Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery, you’ll play a critical role in supporting surgeons during advanced, life-saving procedures. Your precision and expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in a high-acuity OR setting.
Act as first assistant during CT surgical procedures
Provide intraoperative support including exposure, suturing, and tissue handling
Maintain a sterile surgical field and ensure safety protocols
Anticipate surgeon needs and respond efficiently
Collaborate with the OR team to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care
Assist with pre-op preparation and post-op support
Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA or equivalent)
Proven Cardiothoracic (CT) surgery experience required
Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and sterile techniques
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
